Hi, I'm Lena

I work as a project manager. A parent. An expat residing in Berlin, Germany.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.

How It Started

Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-range plans. As with many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.

The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Ordinary tasks seemed more challenging than they ought to be.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.

Why I Built Korli Miret Ozev

Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap with practical guidance drawn from real life in Germany.

What This Site Represents (And What It Isn't)

This site PROVIDES:

  • Hands-on insights from living in Germany
  • Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
  • Updated whenever a real change occurs

This site ISN'T:

  • Not a official tourism authority resource
  • Not a paid-review platform
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our stay in Germany goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.

If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Lena
